Stick Up Kids is Out to Tax

If there’s one person on this planet lazier than me, it’s Peter Silsklsklasliusus. After lord knows how many delays, Stickupkidsny.com [AKA Flipmode Reincarnated] is officially up and chirping. Aside from the fact that none of the people on it make a steady income off robberies, the website is more than worth your time. And much to everyone’s amazement, it has had a steady flow of almost daily updates since it went up.

So in honor of this second phase of the much beloved Flipmode franchise, it is important to know your history, and get familiar with their dynasty. I present to you, Flipmode Throwbacks - Part 1 of 1:

“Happy” Montage: [Download to Your Harddrive or Stream / YouTube]
This is a 2005 montage, from the era where Little Kevin was less than three-feet tall, and known as “That kid with the glasses and the Osiris hoody,” and Peter didn’t know what rap music was. This is an important historic artifact, and a benchmark in terms of New York little kid skate crews (Rest in Peace PureNYSkateboarding, Mike Yedin I see you).

Billy Lynch Flipmode Part Early Edit: [Download to Your Harddrive or Stream / YouTube]
This clip wasn’t supposed to get sent to me, because it was made while the Flipmode video was being slaved over in Peter’s Forrest Hills editing sweatshop. I think 75% of these tricks made the final cut, and the ender is the same, but the song is different.

Sadly, these are the only two Flipmode clips I have on my computer. Visit the new site, Stickupkidsny.com

Harold Hunter Day

Since it’s doubtful that most spots will be dry by Saturday, go to Forbidden City [212 Avenue A, Lower East Side] at 7PM and show some love for a New York legend. It’s a photography exhibit and a video screening (of I’m guessing the same video that KCDC premiered half of on the Harold Hunter Day back in late-summer/early-fall) in honor of the one year anniversary of Harold leaving this earth. The event is sponsored by the Harold Hunter Foundation.

Nevermind the Hiatus & Dispel the Myths

Finally, after finishing this gay redesign and format change, I can begin posting all the nonsense you go here for. Basically, the important things you need to know, aside from the fact that a lot of things look different, is that you can now post comments in response to individual clips and articles, in addition to homepages. Plus, you don’t have to deal with confusing pop-up windows any time you want to talk shit about how the skating in a certain clip isn’t up to your standards. There is also an RSS feed for the website now as well, which you can access by clicking the RSS icon at the bottom of the homepage.

Otherwise, I just opted to reorganize everything, so it looks better and is easier to get around. If you don’t like the way it looks, I don’t care. If you do, then let me know. If there are any serious things that look out of place, i.e. HUGE fonts that look wrong, broken links, images, 404 errors, etc., then post it in the comments and I’ll try to see to it. The same rule stands for the website as it did for the last one, do not use Internet Explorer on a Mac to view it (frankly, you should always avoid using Internet Explorer for Macs).

The message board got deleted, the contact section is gone for obvious reasons, and I added a shop (see below). Support the site and buy something.

Enjoy, and any feedback in the comments below is appreciated. Updates coming soon. Some of the news category links to the right may not work right now, but I know that, and they’ll be fixed as soon as they get filled.

I Got Watermelon By the Pound, Baby Steps By the Ki, Ian Reid’s Video By the Gallon, the Game Belongs to Me

In order to finance monthly child support payments while juggling costs of this (free) website, I opted for starting up a shop and seeing where it would take me. As of this moment, there are three things on it, all depicted above, and worth the $12 or $15 that you would otherwise spend on a bag of weed or add to your fund for the new Dunks. So I need money. And when you give me money, I get motivated, and when I’m motivated, I update the site. It works out well on both sides.

Also, if you’re a small-scale company looking to get yourproduct on the internet, feel free to contact me, because I plan on expanding the shop over time.
