My Posse’s on Broadway

There have been a lot of long, lost items that I’ve been on the search for, and two have just recently come to light..

The Forgotten City.com posted the 411 Washington DC Metrospective a couple of days ago, and it is far and away the best regional montage in the history of regional montages. Until people from your city start doing switch flip front noses in Timbs, you can’t really compete with it. Even with Youtube and all that, I still haven’t come across it since about four years ago when they had a VHS dub of it at ABC.

This has nothing to do with skateboarding, but some random hip-hop blog uploaded 80 Blocks From Tiffany’s in eight parts on Youtube. If you have any interest in gangs, New York, the 70s/early 80s, you liked Style Wars, Downtown 81, Wildstyle or any documentaries from that era, it’s definitley a must watch (no, it’s not about art or graffiti). Otherwise it only floats around on shitty dvd-r copies on eBay.

Pardon me if I’m late on this, but when did Ryan Sheckler get down with Lil’ Jon and BME?

It’s going back up to 90-degree highs this week, enjoy tonight and tomorrow, because real summer is just about here..

“Catch Me Today With a Canon or a Kodak, ‘Cause By Tomorrow, Yesterday Gonna Be a Throwback”

Every once in a while, we need to acknowledge the fact that we aren’t the center of the universe, and woodpushing, as an artform, a hobby, or just a mere thing you do when you’re not sniffing blow off the toilet seat in some L.E.S bar, extends beyond fall-off lists, injury lists, and the like. But we can’t drift too far off and acknowledge a scene outside of the few dozen square miles radiating from my desk, so here’s a new photo bag, dripping wet with golden-day New York City nostalgia. (In other words, most of the spots in the photos aren’t around anymore, or exist in different incarnations).

And before I put myself on the fall-off list, given that I try to throw up at least two updates a week, I got school shit, a meth addiction, and several money-making related projects (I need mine $$$) to distract me from providing you this wonderful website at no cost. As far as 99.5% of the rest of the skateboarding-revolving-internet goes, I got a better update ratio than them, so get off my..

Quote of the Week:You guys are the most disorganized idiots I know.” - Alex Dymond.

If anyone has photos or knows of a hipster photoblog with photos from the abandoned house party on Grand Street & Mulberry last Saturday, please let us know. Either e-mail info@quartersnacks or post a link in the comments. I’ll send you some shit lying around Quarter Snacks international headquarters if the photos are good. Edit: Seriously, out of all you geeks that pretend to skate and go on here to stay up with the time, and own digital cameras, how is this report the only coverage I’ve seen online?

East Coast Boogie, Boulevard Bundle-Up

Adrian - 5050 Through Some Kinks - Photo By Dave H.

The previous hood holiday announcement was incorrect. It only reached 58 degrees that day, and the hood holiday cannot officially occur until it hits 60. Plus, it is still colder than a muhfuckah outside. Here’s my semi-every-Friday, link to content everywhere else but here update.

Torey Goodall Baby Steps B-Roll [Download to your harddrive or Stream / YouTube]. Since the Baby Steps video is the only thing still in-stock at the shop, this clip should be some motivation for you to pick it up. I should be getting re-ups on Ian’s video, and some new products up in the near future.

Matt Mooney: Bringing Innovation and Comedy to the Game Since 1987

I have no clue who filmed this video of Miles olling over a drunk girl at Union last Friday, but somehow it wound up on Youtube.

I checked the UXA Blog for the first time the other day, and there are a couple of sick old school photos on there. Seeing the Pang photo at World Trade is crazy. I remember that being one of the first three-stairs I ever ollied one summer before 9/11 happened, and getting psyched after olling off the manual pad around the corner from it.

3rd and Army footage isn’t hard to come across, but rarely is it set to music this brilliant.

Most of the skateboard world has already heard, but in case this is the only skate site you go on, Shane Cross recently passed away after a motorcycle accident. Rest in peace.

This video is old, but it has New York skating blended with Three 6 Mafia blended with 80s music. You can’t lose.

I got crowned king out in Africa Malaysia, out in Nigeria Kuala Lumpur, do you have any idea? When you ten years in, holla back then.

Most of you probably will not understand the importance of this event, but Kill Traitors has a blog. Time to take Eastern ExBROsure off the shelf and get busy.

Skate Videos Online is back.

Daylight savings time comes early this year. That means an extra hour of skating, pardon me, filming, without a light.

*Start Cam’ron* D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-DAMN */end Cam’ron*

I just got banned from ebay on my third account over some bullshit, so if anybody has any ideas on how I could set up a new account, please let me know. I’ll give you some free stuff if it works.

Due to school’s consistent drive towards ruining my life, you won’t see too many updates for the remainder of the week due to midterms.

And somebody please tell me when this shit is off Lafayette Street so I can start skating down it again, because it’s bound to ruin my day anytime I see it.

1974 - 2006

It’s crazy that it has already been a year since Harold passed. Rest in Peace.

Underworld Element - Skypager - Circa 1993

Zoo York - Mixtape - Circa 1997

Zoo York - Vicious Cycle - Circa 2004

Bonus for all the Mixtape 1 and Wu heads: The full Method Man & Ghostface freestyle that was used for Harold’s part in Mixtape

I meant to put up a memorial post earlier, but this snow is making things really disoriented, especially when I woke up after 3PM for the second time in my life today.
