This is a random observation, but why the fuck is it that in the past year or so all kinds of skateboarders have been trying to prove how much they like Morrissey? Lakai t-shirts, tattoos, songs in video parts, slippin’ lyrics into answers to interview questions… it’s like these people just read in The Skateboard Mag and on Epicly Later’d that Morrissey is cool so they all went to Wikipedia and read up on that shit and now they’re all suddenly die-hards! Does anyone else agree here or what? I’m talking strictly within in the past year that this has become a cool guy phenomenon.

I couldn’t be talking about this shit if I’ve never heard a Smiths/Morrissey song before. I definitely don’t have anything against either, except that all kinds of chump skateboarders are clearly trying to get in on the recent hype. This, to me, is irritating. But where else do you rant about dumb shit like this other than the comments section for a short, unrelated post like this one that had no other comments? After watching another damn new video part on the internet with ‘This Charming Man,’ I just had to take a minute to call it like it is. Other than that, I’m totally fine with peace, love, acceptance, Adelmo Jr. or whatever.
