If you're bored with all the stuff Manhattan has to offer or the stuff available in Brooklyn or Queens when you only go a few stops deep, then Dewey is worth taking the hour-long trip to. The most recognizable aspect of the spot is the long, mellow, two-and-a-half foot high flat rail that descends alongside a subtle handicap ramp on one side, and an overlong three stair on the other. It could be skated as either an obstacle for doing tricks over or just as a regular rail. The three-stair to the side has a perfect run-up to it and an ideal landing. Along this entire side of the school, there is a high, painted concrete ledge that has been waxed up well. It ends at a set-up that consists of a steep bank that you need to ollie up into, and a seven set with a short, but workable runway. On the other end of the school, there's a whole bunch of steeper, and higher handicap ramps, a couple wooden ledges over stairs and a whole bunch of really long gaps that could be skated in any which way depending on your creativity. There's a ledge to flat-bar that is backside for regular footed people and frontside for goofy footed ones. It is round and has a smooth approach to it.
