This is the prototypical Brooklyn spot that you wouldn't find on the other side of the East River. The ledge is approached from a two-foot wide marble ledge that gradually descends down into the street. Right before it turns into a major slope, runs a two-foot high concrete ledge that gradually turns into a steep slope of it's own and allows you to ride down it once you pop out of whatever grind or slide you're doing on it. Make sure you bring wax because it usually needs it. Otherwise, you could skate over the highway barrier that runs next to it into a pretty mellow bank, or wax up the ascending ledge and do tricks up it.
