bond street gap
noho
The gap spans across a driveway exit for a side street, so you won't have to worry about cars coming back and forth. The gap is from a slightly higher curb to a lower one - the difference is only a few inches but it matters when trying to clear it. The gap is between seven and eight feet in length, with a perfectly wide landing and run-up. The run-up itself is generic sidewalk, although most people have to start from a half block back in order to catch adequate speed for it.

You're never going to get kicked out of here, but the problem lies in the fact that it's by the most populated shopping area of Manhattan, so there's loads of pedestrian traffic coming and going throughout the day. This is a spot best after 9 P.M. although if you avoid lunchtime, rush hour and weekends during the day you'll get along fine, even though you might have to wait a minute between every turn.

Bond Street in between Lafayette Street and Broadway. Take the F or V to Broadway-Lafayette Street, skate north on Broadway for 3 blocks and make a right on Bond Street. It is in the middle of the block.
