desbrosses street ledge
tribeca
Nothing much here except a rather high manual pad/ledge. The ledge is a loading dock which lies on a pretty desolate sidewalk. It's about a foot-and-three-fourths in height, about twelve feet in length, and four feet wide on the top. The lip of the ledge is metal, although the top surface is solid concrete. Slide tricks are nearly impossible on it because small circles of metal extend from the side of it. They don't get in your way on grinds though.

Across the street, is another metal ledge, about half the size of the main one in height, and about the same in size. It is better approached backside for regular / frontside for goofy due to the ground. It ascends slightly in height and only has one end.

You won't get kicked out, but there are people in the apartment above who scream and throw stuff at you occasionally. Definitely do not come here during nighttime because they've been known to throw eggs if you're skating really late, probably due to the noise.

Desbrosses Street, in-between Greenwich and Hudson Streets. Take the 1, 2, 3 or 9 to Canal Street, and skate west on Canal until you reach Hudson. Make a left on Hudson and skate south one block, making a right on Desbrosses Street. The ledge is towards the end of the block, on the southern side.
