This is one of the finer gaps you'll find downtown. It is off a four-and-a-half-foot high platform, over about eight feet of sidewalk into a smoothly paved street. The ground up top is choppy in placed, but in abundance. So, you may have to start further back to gather speed, but you could still work with it to clear the gap. Conveniently, the portion of the street where you land is a fire hydrant zone, so there are never cars parked there.

Typically, if you don't go in front of the security window, which is completely detached from the gap as it is, you won't get kicked out. Just make sure you have somebody to watch for cars coming in the street.

Third Street in between 6th Avenue and Mercer Street. Take the N or R to 8th Street, skate south on Broadway until you reach 3rd Street, make a right and skate west for a block and a half, the gap is in the middle of the block on your right side.
