This is not as prominent of a location for spots as it once was (given the fact that Newport and Seaport were two of the most popular spots the city ever had at certain points), but over the years, people have began to skate other portions of the spot that used to be untouched.

The most obvious obstacle is the big wooden four set, equivalent to your average eight set. It has infinite runway, and a good landing - the only problem is that it is completely made out of wood. The surface itself is smooth enough to quickly gather up speed, the cracks in the wood don't really slow you down rolling up to it, the problems begin when you don't land, and your hand goes into the wooden surface, usually resulting in several splinters throughout your palm. Also apart of this section of the spot is an actual eight set with a steep, but low eight stair rail. It's not practical to skate it as a handrail, but doing tricks over it is completely practical.

Otherwise, there is a curb cut to two foot high pillar that people have been known to do tricks over, and a very steep basement door forming a bank positioned at the end of a two stair platform, onto which you could do tricks off the little platform.

The big four has a very sporadic bust factor. It's best to go Monday thru Thursday, usually during the colder seasons because there are probably going to be people sitting all over the steps during warmer seasons. Your chances of getting kicked out are half and half, but typically you can skate for at least a half hour before that happens. To avoid the security guard, walk to the four instead of skating there so it is harder for them to spot you. Typically, you won't get kicked out of the other stuff.

South Street and Fulton Street. The four is located at the northeast corner of the spot. The other stuff is several blocks south alongside South Street. Take the A, C, 4, 5, J, M or Z to Broadway-Nassau Street/ Fulton Street, and skate east on Fulton until you reach the water. The entire complex out on the pier is the seaport.
