Although there may be tons of stair spots throughout Midtown, there are few that are as well set up as this one. The nine itself is ideal in size, and topped off with perfect runway and landing in terms of smoothness, length, etc. To the side of the nine, there is a seven set with a rail going down it at an angle, so if you approach it sideways, the way the rail descends is ideal for doing a trick over the flat portion of it.

Normally, you will get kicked out of here pretty quick, but it never hurts to take your chances. There will occasionally be a fence blocking the plaza off, but you can easily hop it and skate the spot until security comes.

47th Street, in between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue. Take the, 4, 5, 6 or 7 to 42nd Street-Grand Central, skate east on 42nd Street until you reach 3rd Avenue, make a left, and skate north until you reach 47th Street. Make a right on 47th Street and it is towards the end of the block.
