central park hubba
sixth avenue
This is one of the few "mini-hubba" spots you'll find throughout the city. It's an extended kinked ledge that goes down three sets of ten steps. There's only about six feet of space between each set of steps, so you're going to have to turn into whatever trick you want to do. The good thing is, the ledges are steep enough so that you could practically have no speed and still slide down to the bottom of each ledge. Every ledge is topped off with a pretty solid kink, so be careful when you're approaching the bottom of the steps. Also, bring wax because this isn't a very popular spot, and it'll typically require a good waxing before you skate it.

You won't get kicked out of here, but it is better at night because you don't have to worry about tourists or joggers bothering you.

59th Street and Sixth Avenue, right at the entrance into Central Park. Take the N, Q, R or W to 57th Street, skate north two blocks, and east one block. Then walk into the park and the ledges are on your right.
