park avenue
This is possibly the most popular spot in Midtown and certainly the best stair spot you'll find throughout the area. In sequence, it has two sixes, a three, a four, a three, and a two. There is also a six and a seven further down, the six being absolutely perfect in every way, and the seven having about fifteen feet of landing room before you roll into the middle of Lexington Avenue. All the steps have perfect granite runways and landings, so you should not have any trouble skating them. There is also a foot high, thiry foot long marble ledge running between the three and the four, and the other side of the ledge which follows the hill going down the street starts off at about a foot and a half in height until it ultimately reaches its three foot high peak at the end. In front of the building, if you stay in the northern corner, there are also a couple of foot high, seven foot long, three foot wide marble manual pads off three steps.

You can guarantee yourself more time if you avoid passing the security window when you first get to the spot. It's not an ideal place to go before 10 P.M., considering that's when most people roll up there and wind up getting kicked out within five minutes, making the guards more than ready to come back out. The bust factor is generally very sporadic: you can have five minutes or not get kicked out at all - it all depends on how lazy the guard is that day.

47th Street and Park Avenue. Take the 4, 5, 6 or 7 to 42nd Street-Grand Central, skate east on 42nd until you reach Lexington, make a left, and skate north for five blocks, making a left on 47th Street.
