Ferry Terminal
westside highway
This spot is very out-of-the-way from the majority of other Midtown spots, but worth a stop if youíre on a late-night mission up or down the Westside Highway. There is a quick set-up bench/stair combo, where you can ollie up a three, do a quick trick on a slick wooden bench (it has no end, so youíll have to pop out) and proceed down the three on the opposite end. Or you can opt for doing a trick down the three and on a metal bench placed approximately twenty-five feet after it. The benches have small end extensions sticking out where the edges are, so certain tricks may prove more difficult than others. On the opposite end, is a curved concrete ledge descending down a sloped handicap ramp. With massive amount of wax, you could either grind or slide it, otherwise, itís also well set-up for doing tricks over.

There is only one security guard here late at night, and he sits in a booth where nothing that is skateable can be visible. So provided that you avoid him, you can buy yourself some time here. Otherwise, you wonít be getting more than ten minutes when the terminal is open (which means pretty much any reasonable hour of the day).

42nd Street and the Westside Highway. Take the A, C, or E to 42nd Street and skate west until you reach the water.
