downtown jersey city
Next to the Post Office, this is the most popular spot in Jersey City. It's about a six-square block district of some run down, and some renovated warehouses, all with their fair share of stuff to skate in front.

2nd Street/Main Building Region
This is the main and most obvious part of the spot. The entire building has a platform going down it that ranges from being two-and-a-half feet high to four feet high. Off the lower end, people usually set up desks, rails, trashcans, dumpsters, etc. that could be found all over the area or in the trash area of the BJ's store right next to it. At certain points, the platform could be used to gap over a fire hydrant, grates below, etc. At the end of the platform there is a tiny five stair with two really steep and low rails down it. On the other side of the building, is a similar platform that ranges from being four feet to five feet high.

3rd and 4th Street Area
In front of a newly renovated building is a street gap from the sidewalk onto a random concrete island that runs parallel to a parking lot. The approach for the gap is a mellow handicap ramp, so it's ideal for picking up speed. On the other side of the same building is a six stair with an ideal runway and a handrail that you need to gap out to. In the soon-to-be-demolished building across Warren Street, there is a CBS-styled gap over a rail. The gap is off a rugged platform, over about four feet of stairs running the other way, and a level handrail along the other end. On the same block is a rugged bank to ledge/manual pad, depending on how you look at it. It was in the Static 2 video and a couple of Ads in magazines throughout the ages, so it's probably one of the more recognizable things here. On the side of this same building is another six stair.

BJ's Area
On the side of this building is a two-foot high, metal highway barrier into a bank with a curb at the bottom. The runway is somewhat short, but it is not the type of spot you want to have to much speed to skate anyways. Right next to it, there is usually a bunch of random crap that you could take and set-up off the docks across the street.

The warehouses are open on weekdays, so either come here after 9 P.M. at night (with lights, because it's dark over here), or during a weekend.

2nd Street and Warren Street in Downtown Jersey City. Take the Path Train to Pavonia Newport and skate south for four blocks. Make a right on 2nd Street and skate west for one block.
