PSE&G
downtown newark
There really aren't sufficient pictures here to do justice to this spot, so perhaps in the near future, this listing will be updated.

Easily one of the best spots in New Jersey...in addition to being one of the most risky spots to skate outside of Washington D.C. If you're used to skating Love Park or Pulaski, you shouldn't have any trouble here, but even then, don't except too long of a session. This spot has infinite amounts of ledges, from foot high ones to thigh high ones. There and slanted ledges, two ledges going down a four-flat-four, ledges inside the big five region stacked on top of each other - wherever you go, you shouldn't have any trouble getting your grind on. There are a handful of ten stair rails going down into the big five pit, a mellow rail down a handicap ramp and a ledge to flatrail towards Broad Street. The big five is obviously the main attraction. It is topped off with a perfect runway and a smooth roll away if you're landing. The ground isn't too friendly if you're falling on it, so skating it in shorts or a short sleeve t-shirt isn't the best idea. The ground here is all smooth, so you shouldn't have much trouble skating any part of the spot.

Well, this is where the trouble comes in. There are usually security guards that patrol this area in white cars. They have no purpose besides kicking out skateboarders. They are usually here all day, unless you happen to get lucky. The problem with them isn't that they are your typical "You can't skate here" security guards - they can cuff you, call the cops, and wait for the real cops to come down here and take you down to central bookings [because of course, cops in the city with the most bloods in the United States, the most carjackings in the United States, etc. have nothing better to do but worry about you waxing PSE&G's previous ledges]. So it is best to come here either on a Saturday or a Sunday, or on a weekday, after at least 8 P.M. [they are a lot less likely to be patrolling the area at that time]. If you see them coming, and they look angry, running would probably be in your best interests. I've been chased down to Penn Station [like 6 city blocks] before, so they don't play that, they don't play that, they don't play that, g-unit, they don't play around.
