westside hubba
westside jersey city
This spot gained infamy from a couple of internet clips a while back. The obvious stand-out feature of the spot is the hubba, which is like chest-high at the top, and gradually descends on a steep slope. It is only backside for regular-footed skaters, and frontside for goofy-footed skaters. The runway is long and smooth, but that should be the least of your worries if you're thinking of hitting it. There are also two, one for each side, round rails going down six stairs, a foot high ledge over a six stair and a couple of concrete benches down at the bottom of the spot.

There is a security window in the middle of this spot...with a soundproof window. So as long as you stay on either the left or right side of the spot [which is where all the stuff is to skate anyways], you won't get kicked out unless somebody from the building reports you.

Newark Street and Kennedy Boulevard. Take the Path Train to Journal Square, make a right on Kennedy Boulevard and skate north for several blocks. Make a right on Newark Street [across the street from the White Castle] and it's right at the start of the block.
