This is hardly a spot for anyone besides people who live around it. It's only a last resort for those desperate to skate when it's raining or snowing, and you don't want to go all the way up to 180th to the Bus Terminal for the only other covered skate spot that you may not get kicked out of in Manhattan. Here, there are a bunch of smooth, low, just over a foot high metal ledges extending down a mellow hill on both sides of the garage. They could also be skated as manual pads or just flat ledges without ends up top. Towards the left side of the garage, there's a steel ledge that extends alongside a dumbster with a three foot drop at the end.
Usually, you get at least 30-45 minutes before you get kicked out, but sometimes you may get unlucky. It's really a gamble, and typically depends on whether or not the guy kicking you out feels like telling you to leave or not.
115th Street, in between Morningside and Amsterdam Avenue. Take the 1 or 9 to 116th Street, skate south for one block and make a left on 115th Street. Skate east for one and a half blocks and the spot is in a garage positioned towards the end of the block.
