armenian ledges
west harlem
This is one of the best ledge spots in the area, and unfortunately a pretty big bust if you happen to come with more than three people or just simply have bad luck. There are two ledges, one that starts out at about an inch high and ascends to be around three and a half feet high as it runs along a wall. Further down, there's another ledge that starts out at about a foot and a half high and grows to be about three feet high. They both run down a pretty sizeable hill, and are frontside for regular footed skaters and backside for goofy footed skaters. They are made out of perfect marble and require minimal wax.

There's a rarely a guy behind the desk at the security window, but people from the building usually complain, so he'll eventually show up to kick you out. One Armenian guy who may still work or not work there (the dude who the spot is named after) is a psycho and will try to kill you if he catches you, so if an angry guy comes out it's safe to assume that you should run or take your gun out.

122nd Street in between Amsterdam Avenue and Morningside. Take the 1 or 9 to 125th Street, skate south on Broadway for three blocks, make a left on 122nd and skate east for two blocks.
