Update - Summer 2007: Granted that this is primarily a night spot, it's virtually unskateable now because the building made the streetlights facing the benches completely dead. Thus, the spot is pitch black at night, and you cannot see what you're doing. So night sessions are out, and daytime sessions at this spot are worthless because you get kicked out and the museum is open.
In the museum's front plaza, you will find two sets of three marble benches, both on the north and south sides of the building. The ones at the end have a slight curve to them, but make it likely for you to crash into the wall after you come off the end. There are also several foot-high statue bases that are waxed and easy to learn tricks on. If you have nothing against approaching a set of stairs sideways, you could also skate the seven set that leads up to the entire plaza. And if you prefer something smaller, there is a chin to drop gap over a low chain, down a five foot drop onto the sidewalk.
