Pace University

city hall area

The one standout obstacle of this spot is the famous double set ledge. It's a little over a foot in height, extends about eight feet out over a two-flat-three, and down a four foot drop. There's a fairly large chunk taken out of it in the middle from years of bikes and skateboards, so certain tricks (i.e. a crooked grind) would prove to be difficult on it. The runway and the landing are both perfectly ample in gathering up speed, and the ledge itself has endured years of wax, so you shouldn't have too much trouble sliding across it. In back, there's the Pace Jr. ledge, which is under a foot in height, and extends about four feet over a two stair. There's also a couple of steps here and there, but nothing really worth going out of the way for.
At the end of Park Row, when it begins to turn into a ramp to go up the Brooklyn Bridge. Take the 4, 5, 6, J, M or Z to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall and it should be right outside, in front of the main entrance to the Pace University building.
If you go here on a weekday before six or seven o'clock, you're liable to get kicked out because there are classes in the building and people usually sitting on all the ledges. Go here after seven on a weekday, or on a weekend. There's still a chance you may get kicked out, but it is a rare occurrence.
