23rd street hospital

gramercy

First and foremost, this is a hit-and-run spot 95% of the time. It has a set-up ideal for skating, but chances are, you're not going to be able to utilize it long enough to get anything productive out of it. The spot consists of a long ledge descending from the hospital's entrance alongside which a long, foot-and-a-half high round rail runs down. There are random breaks in the rail in between, meaning that there's more than one end to it. It can be skated either with the slope or against it (like the Houston Park rail), but to skate against it would mean that you're going to be closer to the security window. There's also a six stair hear with ample runway and landing and a gap over a foot high, foot long, concrete barricade down a five foot drop into the hospital's driveway.
23rd Street and First Avenue. Take the 4, 5 or 6 to 23rd Street and skate east for three blocks until you reach 23rd Street. The hospital is right on the corner.
It's only possible to skate here at night, and even then, you're still probably going to get kicked out. There just won't be people walking by to get in your way and it will be slightly harder for them to spot you from the window. Avoid coming here with a lot of people.
