99th street school

jackson heights

This spot contains a bunch of ledges that are a little below knee height, most of which are waxed up well enough for both slides and grinds. There is a knee high concrete ledge that goes over a set of three stairs and can only be skated backside for goofy and frontside for regular. Next to it is a Ziegfeld-styled ledge that runs straight across a handicap ramp.
Take the 7 to Junction Boulevard and skate north towards Northern Boulevard. Make a right on 34th Avenue and start going towards 99th Street. The school can be spotted easily because it is surrounded by tall green gates.
You never really have problems skating here -- most of the people that work here will just sit around and watch you. The gate may be locked after 5 or 6, but there is a wide gap in the fence that you could get through after that time.
