amsterdam houses

upper west side

Given that this spot is in back of a couple housing projects, it would be wrong to assume that everything here is perfect. You'll find an over-sized six stair, equal to about an average six or seven set, with a short runway and horrible ground, so ensure that you look for pieces of plywood on your way over here to lay down for your landing. There's a handful of concrete blocks, that could be either skated as ledge-to-ledge gaps, manual pads, etc., but not as actual ledges provided that it's the type of concrete that's impossible to grind. In front of the actual building, there's a circle of rough concrete banks that you need to ollie up onto in order to skate, or you can bring a sheet of wood to lay down in order to avoid both the roughness and the ollie up to portion of it.
65th Street, below Amsterdam Avenue. Take the 1 or 9 to 66th Street, and skate west on 66th until you pass La Gaurdia High School. In the middle of the block, there's a small entrance behind the apartments that you could go through.
You're not going to get kicked out of here.
