lenox ledges

east harlem

Lenox is one of the better ledge spots uptown when you take into account how fast you get kicked out of all the others. Here there are four, eight-foot long, foot-and-a-half high planters on very smooth ground lined up after each other. They are all waxed well, and grind and slide perfectly.
110th Street and Lenox Avenue. Take the 2 or 3 to Central Park North-Lenox Avenue and the spot is right outside.
You will not get kicked out, but there are crackheads posted up all over the ledges during the warmer months of the year so they may prevent you from skating.
